Polly Esther’s Grand Opening at the Stratosphere

Deborah Gibson and Danny Bonaduce at Polly Esther's Grand Opening at the StratosphereOne of the newest Las Vegas nightclubs to open had its grand opening celebrations this weekend and it was quite a party. Polly Esther’s had to cancel the Thursday night festivities with 70s music icons Leif Garret and the Bay City Rollers due to last minute issues, but the Friday night party went ahead as planned. The event was headlined by 80s pop songstress Deborah Gibson, who played a set of her hits for those in attendance, and Danny Bonaduce, who hung out in the 70s with the Partridge Family Bus-Bar.

Over 2,000 people showed up to celebrate on Friday, including many of Vegas’ A-listers like David Hasselhoff (“The Producers”), who reportedly spent most of the evening in the “Suite 2000” room. The top-notch staff at the club kept things humming all night long, including my friend Suzee (center in the photo on the right) who also celebrated her *mumble mumble* birthday the same night. Happy birthday, hon!

Polly Esther's Grand Opening at the StratosphereOnline magazine NapkinNights.com was on hand documenting the evening in photos, including the two in used in this post. Visit their site to see more of the club’s grand opening celebrations.

Polly Esther’s is located just inside the main entrance of the Stratosphere and is really four clubs in one. Each mini-club represents a different decade in pop culture: the 70s, the 80s, the 90s and the 2000s. Within each room, guests can enjoy the music and decor of that particular decade, as well as a drink menu with specialty drinks named after people and events that made the decade so memorable. Polly Esther’s is open Wednesday through Sunday nights and each room will be accessible from one main entrance cover charge.
