2005 WSOP – Main Event

Joe Hachem is a name you will hear a lot of for the next year. Joe is about to live everyman’s dream, as he won the 2005 WSOP Main Event, and the top prize of 7.5 million dollars, easily the largest prize ever given for any competitive event. A staggering 5,619 players put up $10,000 to enter the main event, creating an unbelievable 56 million dollar prize pool. This tournament was marathon of poker, as Joe played seven full days, and over 100 hours of poker to capture his crown.
