Gondola Rides at The Venetian

Whether you’ve traveled to Italy or not, the gondola rides at The Venetian are not nearly as tacky as you might expect. Granted, this isn’t Venice, but it’s a nice alternative if you’re unable to hop the pond to do the real thing. The canal ride that stays indoors winds throughout the Grand Canal Shoppes and lasts for 14 minutes, while the one that takes riders outside is 12 minutes. Just like in Venice, the gondoliers sing as they row, which is adds an additional authentic touch to the ride.

All of the gondolas seat four people, and those traveling in smaller parties may be seated with others. There is a specially decorated gondola that is reserved specifically for wedding ceremonies. If you prefer to reserve an entire gondola to yourself, you may do so at an additional cost.

The thing about Las Vegas’ gondola ride is that it isn’t necessarily a romantic gesture. Though this is certainly an ideal activity for a romantic weekend away or a honeymoon, this is also a fun family activity and a memorable experience for friends who are visiting Las Vegas together.
