Revolution Lounge Hosts Book Signing With Andy Summers

Revolution Lounge Las Vegas Hosts Book Signing With Andy Summers of The PoliceTickets for next weekend’s concert by The Police sold out in less than an hour but fear not. Even if you didn’t get tickets, there’s still a chance to immerse yourself in the world of legendary rock trio.

On June 14, a day before their concert at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, band guitarist Andy Summers will be appearing at the Revolution Lounge at The Mirage to sign copies of his latest book, ”I’ll Be Watching You: Inside The Police 1980–1983.”

The book is a compilation of photographs that Summers took during those early years of the band. A black & white time capsule of over 600 images that cover rehearsals and recording sessions with the band, as well as back-stage and on-stage footage of concerts from around the world. Many of the photos are previously unseen.

”I’ll Be Watching You: Inside The Police 1980–1983” has just been published by Taschen this month, and is available for $39.95 for the regular edition and $400 for the limited and numbered edition version.

During this event, several of Summers’ personal favorites from the book will be exhibited in the venue. As a fellow photographer, I have to say that from what I’ve seen from the book, I am as completely impressed with his work with the camera as I am with his work as a musician.

The book signing is free to the public and will take place from 6pm until 9pm. But given how fast the concert sold out, I would get there much earlier if you want to meet Summers before the event ends.
