Cheap Trick Rocks Mandalay Beach

cheaptrick.jpgWhen you make a list of the hardest working bands in music, Cheap Trick has to be somewhere near the top of that list. Formed in the early 70s, the quartet quickly worked their way from playing bars in their hometown of Rockford, Illinois to getting signed to their first record deal. The band’s music went on to become part of the soundtrack of the late 70s and early 80s, with a string of hits that included “Surrender,” “Dream Police,” “I Want You To Want Me” and the #1 ballad, “The Flame.”

As good as Cheap Trick sounds on an album or cd, it’s nothing compared to how hard this band rocks the stage live. With a new album coming out in June, the band will be taking the stage outdoors at Mandalay Beach on May 5 for a show that’s sure to usher in summer the right way.
