Joe Satriani and Eric Johnson at House of Blues

satriani.jpgJoe Satriani is considered one of the masters of the guitar, and with good reason. Ever since he burst onto the recording world with his instrumentals, “Satch” (as those in the know refer to him) has racked up an impressive list of accolades from both his peers, including 13 Grammys, and fans, who routinely vote him as one of the Top Ten guitarists in numerous reader’s polls in magazines worldwide. He just released his eleventh solo album, Is There Love in Space?, and shows no sign of slowing down.

Joining him at the House of Blues on May 2 will be another great guitarist, Eric Johnson. While not as famous as Satriani, Johnson has wowed music fans for years with his blend of rock and blues, often times earning comparisons to another Texas guitarist — Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Together, these two artists cover the spectrum of what a guitar can do in the hands of a skilled player. This is a 21-and-over show.
