John Mayer To Play Mandalay Bay

John Mayer To Play Mandalay Bay Singer John Mayer has announced his summer tour and one of its stops will be at the Mandalay Bay Events Center on June 8. Opening for him will be Ben Folds.

Mayer first rose to fame in 2001, with his debut album, Room For Squares, which yielded the Grammy winning track, “Your Body Is a Wonderland.” His second album, Heavier Things, won him another two Grammys, including one for the hit song, “Daughters.” His current album, Continuum, won him another two Grammys earlier this year: Best Pop Album and Best Pop Song with Vocal for “Waiting on the World to Change.” The man just has the golden touch when it comes to crafting memorable songs.

In addition to music, Mayer keeps himself busy designing guitars and a clothing line sold only at his shows. He also freelance writes for magazines like Esquire and Rolling Stone, and has been known to indulge in stand-up comedy whenever he visits New York City.

Folds is best known as a member of the Ben Folds Five, which had a 1997 hit with the song, “Brick.”

Tickets for his show are priced at $91.75 and $70.75 and can be purchased at the Mandalay Bay Events Center box office and via Ticketmaster. Ticket sales are limited to eight (8) per person.

Chances are current girlfriend Jessica Simpson will be with him for this stop, at least, since she loves to hit the Vegas nightlife scene.
