Lesley Gore at the Cannery Casino

It’s her party and she could cry if she wanted to, but it’s more likely Lesley Gore will be enjoying her show at the Cannery Casino tonight.

Gore had her first hits in the “Girl Group” era of 60s pop music with Quincy Jones-produced hits like “Judy’s Turn To Cry,” “You Don’t Own Me” and her biggest single, “It’s My Party,” which topped the charts when she was only 16. In the thirty years since, Gore has continued to record and perform, and several of her songs have appeared on shows like “CSI: Miami” and “The L Word.” She is currently touring for her most recent album, Ever Since.
