Secret Britney Spears Show at the House of Blues

The internet is all abuzz with news of Britney Spears’ secret shows in California this week, and this Sunday, she’ll be putting on one here in Vegas at the House of Blues.

Performing under the moniker of “The M+M’s,” Spears is scheduled to appear, with tickets on sale for $60 at the box office for general admission. But unless you’re a die-hard Britney fan, you might want to save the cash.

In her other shows, Spears appeared scantily-clad onstage in a brunette wig, pink rhinestone-encrusted bra and a white short skirt, surrounded by a four blonde dancers. She performed some basic dance moves, but was not really singing. Oh, her lips were moving to the words, but true to her past tours, Spears was lip-synching.

On top of that, as fellow Vegas scribe Robin Leach has also noticed, Spears set list clocked in at only 16 minutes for her first show in San Diego, and by her third show in Hollywood, she was already down to 12 minutes onstage. Wow, I bet she was just ready for a nap after that. I mean it takes me longer just to get through security at the doors for a House of Blues concert.

But I suppose, all that aside, at least it’s a step in a positive direction for the pop singer who has spent most of the year surrounded by controversy and break-downs. So, go her.
