Aureole – American

Chef Charlie Palmer is the creative thinker behind Aureole, which enjoys the reputation of being one of the finest dining establishments in the United States. The menu is filled with creative interpretations of classic American dishes including several seafood offerings and fun desserts such as mocha cheesecake and a dark chocolate tart. Seasonal dishes and a wide variety of rare American and French wines round out the perfect meal.

Aureole is open daily from 5:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m., and the lounge is open daily from 5:30 p.m-midnight. The average check is $95.00 per person. Reservations are recommended.

Border Grill Mexican

Innovative, modern Mexican favorites have been updated and recreated to add some zest to your dining experience. The menu offers a large selection of flavorful fare, but Border Grill is also a fun place to order up a few appetizers and sip margaritas with friends late into the afternoon.

Border Grill is open daily but hours vary by day. Doors will be open by 11:30 a.m., regardless of when you visit. The average check is $25.00 per person for lunch and $45.00 per person for dinner.

China Grill – Asian

Definitely more than your average Chinese buffet, Mandalay Bay’s China Grill offers more than 40 interesting and flavorful dishes including tempura sashimi, lamb spareribs and grilled szechuan beef. The restaurant’s design includes a multi-level dining room and planetarium-style illuminated ceiling. Come for the food, but enjoy the atmosphere.

China Grill is open Sunday through Thursday from 5:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5:00 p.m.-midnight. Enjoy Dragon Hour specials daily from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. The average check is $45.00 per person. Reservations are recommended.

Lupo – Italian

Lupo was Wolfgang Puck’s first restaurant and was opened in Mandalay Bay in 1999. Since then, the restaurant has been offering a fine selection of authentic Italian classics. Highlights include exhibition pizza and antipasto and dessert stations. Request a seat on the indoor patio for optimal people-watching views.

Lupo is open from 5:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The average check is $55.00 per person.

Mix – Classic French and American

Winner of numerous awards, including a Mobil four-star rating in 2008 and an AAA Four Diamond Award two years in a row, Mix truly is among the cream of the crop. The restaurant is the brainchild of Alain Ducasse, one of the culinary world’s most renowned chefs. Choose Mix for contemporary and classic French and American dishes, but don’t forget to enjoy the setting around you. Its innovative white-and-silver modern design is part of the allure.

Mix is located within THEhotel and is open daily from 6:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. The average check is $90.00 per person. Reservations are recommended.

Red Square – Continental and Russian

Many people stop to take a picture of Red Square’s entrance without realizing they’re capturing one of the finest Russian-inspired restaurants in Las Vegas. Voted best bar by Playboy Magazine, Red Square is a nod to imperial Russia by way of culinary specialties such as stroganoff, Siberian nachos and certified angus rib eye. The restaurant also has an impressive selection of caviar and one of the an impressive frozen ice bar that features more than 200 frozen vodkas and infusions, martinis and Russian-inspired cocktails.

Red Square’s dining room is open Sunday through Thursday from 5:00 p.m.-10:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. The bar has extended hours. Reservations are recommended.

Rick Moonen’s RM Seafood – Contemporary Seafood

If you know you’re in the mood for seafood but aren’t sure how classy you want to make your outing, consider checking out Rick Moonen’s RM Seafood, which offers two dining options. If you dine downstairs, you’ll find a full casual dining menu including sushi and a raw bar. You’ll find a more intimate dining upstairs and have the option to order from a multi-course chef’s tasting menu.

The downstairs area at Rick Moonen’s RM Seafood is open daily from 11:30 a.m.-11:00 p.m. The upstairs area is open Tuesday through Saturday from 5:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m. The average check for dining is $40.00 per person downstairs and $75.00 per person upstairs.

Shanghai Lilly Cantonese and Szechuan

The work of many of Hong Kong’s finest chefs, Shanghai Lilly offers classical Cantonese fare with Szechuan specialties. Designed with romance in mind, this Chinese restaurant serves up fare with memorable flair. Four private dining rooms make the experience more intimate.

Shanghai Lilly is located within Mandalay Bay and is open from Thursday through Monday from 5:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m. The average check is $55.00 per person. Reservations are recommended.

STRIPSTEAK – Steakhouse

Voted Best Steak in America by Esquire Magazine, STRIPSTEAK is one of Las Vegas’ premiere steakhouses. Chef Michael Mina is the man behind this restaurant, which offers a classic steak menu in a more modernized version of the traditional steakhouse. Only the highest-quality ingredients are used here, including corn-fed, all-natural meat and fresh, seasonal produce. Who knew steak could be so creative?

STRIPSTEAK is located at Mandalay Bay and is open daily from 5:30 p.m.-11:00 p.m. The lounge opens at 4:00 p.m. daily. The average check is $110.00 per person.

Casual Restaurants

If Mandalay Bay’s signature restaurants are just a bit too classy for your taste, or you’re just looking for a more relaxed atmosphere, the resort also offers a selection of casual restaurants. But don’t let atmosphere fool you … the food you’ll find at these dining establishments is still worth a special trip.

Bayside Buffet – International

This is Mandalay Bay’s buffet, which offers views of the resort’s tropical water garden. With an ever-changing menu, chances are everyone will find something that fits their hunger needs.

Bayside Buffet is open daily from 7:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m.-9:45 p.m.

Burger Bar American

What would you like on your burger? Any special requests? Your greatest hamburger dreams are realized at Burger Bar. In addition to the standard beef burger, this casual dining establishment offers the finest varieties of buffalo, turkey, vegetarian and vegan products.

Located in Mandalay Place, the breezeway between Mandalay Bay and Luxor, Burger Bar is open from 11:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11:00 a.m.-1:00 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

Gary Canter’s Delicatessen – Sandwiches

Are you craving a sandwich to fill the void between two meals? Or do you just need something light for lunch or dinner? Consider stopping by Gary Canter’s Delicatessen, which offers a special style of sandwich that has evolved over the past 85 years. The corned beef and pastrami sandwiches are highlights on the menu.

Gary Canter’s Delicatessen is open Sunday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m.-midnight.

House of Blues Southern Specialties

The music and cuisine at House of Blues pays homage to the Southern blues. Dig in to good ol’ home cooking with favorites like BBQ-basted baby back ribs, Creole seafood jambalaya and other Cajun specialties. You’ll also find a selection of burgers, sandwiches and salads. The Sunday Gospel Brunch at House of Blues is known throughout the city and is considered one of the best brunch options on the Strip.

House of Blues opens daily at 7:30 p.m. It is open until midnight Sunday through Thursday and until 1:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. The Gospel Brunch is every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. and features an all-you-can-eat Southern style buffet.

Hussong’s Cantina – Mexican

This chain restaurant made it’s U.S. debut in Mandalay Place and has been serving meals to happy customers ever since. Enjoy classic Mexican-American dishes or Baja street fare while tipping back a classic margarita or tapping your toes along with a mariachi band.

Hussong’s Cantina is located in Mandalay Place. It is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Mizuya – Sushi

Get your sushi and sake fix at Mizuya, which offers an array of sashimi, hand rolls and specialty rolls. If you’d like, you’re welcome to sit at the sushi bar and watch the chefs at work. Take advantage of happy hour daily from 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. for specials on sushi, sake and beer.

Mizuya is open daily from 11:30 a.m.-11:00 p.m.

Noodle Shop Chinese

This traditional Chinese restaurant features Cantonese and Mandarin dishes. Enjoy the classics such as chow mein, beef stew and many rice and barbecue dishes.

Noodle Shop is open from 11:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11:00 a.m.-1:00 a.m. Friday and Saturday. The average checkis $23.00 per person.

Raffles Cafe – American

If you’re looking for nosh 24 hours a day, Mandalay Bay doesn’t disappoint. Raffles Cafe offers casual dining options with a variety of menu offerings. The average check at Raffles is $22.00 per person.

Red, White and Blue – American

If you’re looking for your favorite American classics, then Red, White and Blue is the place for you. Offering a comprehensive comfort menu of steaks, salads, seafood, burgers and other options, this dining establishment caters to all tastes. It’s to-go counter makes it easy to grab a meal on the run.

Red, White and Blue opens at a different time each day, but the to-go counter has extended hours early in the morning and late into the evening.

the café – American

the café is the resort cafe for THEhotel. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it offers a selection of flavorful dishes.

the café is located within THEhotel and is open daily from 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. The average check is $19 per person.

Verandah – International

Verandah is the “every man’s” restaurant, offering a selection of regional and international dishes (though it leans heavily on the side of Italian cuisine). The casual dining atmosphere is prevalent throughout breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dine inside or request terrace seating that overlooks the pool.

Verandah is open at 6:30 a.m. Monday through Friday and at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday for breakfast. Dining hours vary throughout the day and week for each meal.
