Las Vegas Hotels with FREE WiFi

Las Vegas hotels are not particularly friendly when it comes to doling out free wifi to their guests, though that’s not to say you won’t be able to pick up complementary internet. Rather, instead of just offering the service to their guests, many resorts in Las Vegas require those staying on the property to pay a resort fee, which then includes amenities such as internet access, gym access and pool access. This fee ranges from approximately $5.00 up to $25.00 each night, depending on the hotel, and guests cannot opt out of paying it. So, in a sense, guests do get free wifi, but they have had to pay for it upfront.

So what’s the status on finding actual free wifi at hotels in Las Vegas?

Harrah’s properties do not charge a resort fee, so snagging free internet service varies across its many resorts. Harrah’s Hotel and Casino has no free internet throughout the property.

Internet service at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino can be found in a few places throughout the Miracle Mile Shops (stop at Earl’s Sandwiches for a sure connection). In order to get service at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf here, which offers free wifi at its other Las Vegas locations, you need to purchase something. The Starbucks here does not offer free wifi.

At the Venetian, you can find free wifi in the casino’s food court and the Grand Canal shopping area. The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf shops at this resort offer internet access as well, but the one located closest to the parking garage has only one table and is exceptionally slow. For better service, utilize the one in the center of the Grand Canal shops. You can also pick up free signal in the lobby, but there is nowhere to sit.

In the Palazzo, you can find free wifi at Cafe Presse in The Shoppes. The Palazzo’s lobby has free signal as well, but there is no good place to sit down to use it.

The Wynn has offers a free guest network that doesn’t require a password, which is supposed to be available in select locations throughout the resort. For the most part, you should be able to access strong wifi signal without much trouble at ZooZa Crackers Deli, The Race & Sports Book Lounge and The Wynn Poker Room.

You can also find free wifi at the Clarion Hotel, America’s Best Value Inn and the several Residence Inn properties throughout the city. The Fairfield Inn has free wired access in the rooms.

As for “free” wifi with resort fees, you should be able to log in once you’ve paid your fees at the following hotels (correct at the time of publication; please advise of any changes, which will then be made to this post):
