Eyecandy Sound Lounge & Bar Opens at Mandalay Bay

Tapping into technology, the new Eyecandy Sound Lounge & Bar is now open at Mandalay Bay. Featuring a high-tech twist on the cocktail lounge concept, the venue utilizes interactive touch tables, sound staions and a lighted dance floor.

The touch tables, similar to ones at clubs like Revolution at the Mirage, enable guests to enjoy pre-selected visuals that react to the music and allows them to create visuals and messages that they can send to other tables. These circular tables exist within four semi-enclosed booth areas that come equipped with stationary and motorized cameras to check out the action elsewhere in the lounge and bar area.

There are also three sound stations adjacent to the dance floor where on select nights, guests can plug in their iPods and allow the DJ to incorporate their personal music mixes into the overall club mix.

Eyecandy’s dance floor is comprised of touch-activated LED tiles which react to the feet of the dancers by changing images and other graphics. Think of those snazzy 70’s-era disco floors elevated into the 21st century.

Traditional bottle service is also given a twist, with tables purchased by the hour instead of by the liquor purchased.  Rates are $200 an hour and you can drink whatever you wish, instead of just mixing your own from a bottle.

The Eyecandy bar is open from 11am until 6pm and then the interactive lounge area takes over from 6pm until 4am. It is located in the casino area of Mandalay Bay and currently has no cover charge for either the bar or lounge.
