Hawaiian Tropic Zone Gets Torrid at Night
Not content to be one of the hottest restaurants at Planet Hollywood, the Hawaiian Tropic Zone will crank that heat just a bit by turning their outdoor patio into a nightclub for the summer months.
They’re calling the club Torrid and it will operate Wednesdays through Saturdays with high profile DJs spinning and models galore hosting.
This weekend is Torrid’s opening weekend party and they’re pulling out all the stops.
Friday, April 25th, DJ Samantha Ronson will team up with Playboy Playmate Amanda Paige and American Curves cover model Brooke Banx to host the evening. Ronson won’t helf the turntables until midnight, but ladies, you’ll want to get there early to partake of the free open bar sponsored by PINK Vodka that runs from 10pm until midnight.
Saturday night, April 26th, Torrid hosts Strip Las Vegas’ May release party with cover model Valentina Vaughn. In addition, Penthouse Pet and author Dr. Z will host her book release party with fellow “Pets” Cassia Riley, Justine Jolie, Jamie Lynn and Penthouse Pet of the Year Erica Ellyson.
Ronson will return at midnight to helm the turntables for a second night, and there will be another free open bar for the ladies from 10pm until midnight, sponsored by Snow Queen vodka.
Guests must be 21 and over but Vegas clubgoers will appreciate the fact that there is no cover charge to enter Torrid. Whoo hoo! More money for drinks! And if you can’t make it, you can always watch the show from the comfort of your computer via live webcam.

Celebrate Beerfest Every Week at McFadden’s
McFadden’s Irish Restaurant and Saloon dropped me a note to let me know that this Thursday (April 24), they’re kicking off a new weekly “Beerfest” promotion. Enjoy $2 Bud Light drafts or $5 pitchers, along with $3 well drinks, from 10pm until close. They’ll also offer open bar privileges from 10pm until 11pm for only $10 on Thursdays.
In addition to the “Beerfest” drink specials, enjoy drinking games like beer pong and flip cup all night, with cash prizes and VIP parties up for grabs to the winners.
They also say this Saturday, April 26th, they’ll be hosting the “Ho’Down Throw Down” with cash prizes for the best dressed cowgirl and cowboy (plus if you dress the part, you get in free, too). They’ll be having drink specials all night and if you’re feeling brave from all that liquid courage, they’ll be holding a mechanical bull riding contest from 9pm until 1am. Yee Haw!

Puff Lounge Introduces Nightly Promotion Calendar
The newly opened Puff Lounge is introducing a list of weekly promotions for every day of the week and we’ve got the full rundown:
The week starts with Mojo Mondays, hosted by mojorepublik.com and featuring live music from Larry “Blues Papa” Travis from 9pm until midnight.
Acoustic Tuesdays features live music from Acoustic Soul from 9pm until midnight.
As the name implies, Rock & Roll Wednesdays will feature a rotating roster of live rock bands, all hosted by Vegas Rocks Magazine. Hours are 9pm until midnight.
Fantasy Karaoke Thursdays will feature a live six-piece band instead of pre-recorded cds. The club says they may eventually record the best performances on upcoming cds or possibly put together a TV show giving participants a shot at their own 15-minutes of fame. Performances run from 9pm until midnight.
Funky Fridays features Anduze from LA from 9pm until midnight, while Saturdays feature a revolving roster of cover bands during the same hours.
The week wraps up with Reggae Sundays, featuring live music from Michael Black & Jah Guide Band from 9pm until midnight.
