Pamela Anderson Replaces Carmen Electra in Magic Show

Pamela Anderson and Hans Klok of The Beauty of Magic at Planet Hollywood in Las VegasTwo months ago, we reported on “The Beauty of Magic,” the new magic show that was supposed to open at the new Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. It was to star magician Hans Klok with actress Carmen Electra as his assistant. Even as recently as last week, Electra said she would be with the show for at least three months.

But in a press conference yesterday at the Extra Lounge at Planet Hollywood, it was announced that while Klok will go forward with the show, Electra has had to bow out of appearing. Representatives say it was due to scheduling conflicts.

Her replacement literally popped out of what was thought to be an empty box in front of the crowd…sex symbol Pamela Anderson. Dressed in a demure black shirt and white skirt, Anderson stood next to Klok as he formerly announced her involvement in the show as Electra’s replacement.
“My kids are going to love this,” the actress said to reporters. “This is my dream of being a Vegas showgirl come true.”

The show was originally set to start previews last week and open on May 12, 2007. But due to the change, those dates have been pushed back. Previews will now start in late May at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino Theater for the Performing Arts, with a gala premiere set for June 2, 2007.
