Build-A-Bear Workshop

Need something fun to do with the kids that doesn’t involve a rollercoaster or museum? Build-a-Bear Workshop, located at the Fashion Show Mall near Treasure Island, can occupy a few hours of time … plus the kids walk away with something they’ve made on their own.

The process of making their own stuffed animal begins when your kids walk into the store. Kids get to choose from bears, dogs, cats, bunnies, monkeys and other cozy critters. Then they select the sounds that will come out of their new friend, and they follow it up with stuffing and stitching up their soft buddy. Toward the end of the process, they give it a big fluff to make it soft, and then your kids will get to name and dress their new pals. The really cool part is that kids can completely create the look and personality of the bear from a wide variety of fashions and accessories.

Cost: The cost varies but plan on spending $30 – $50 per bear.
