The Art of Shaving

Among the many name brand, mainstream stores located throughout the many places to go shopping in Las Vegas, there is the occasional rare, interesting and unique shop.  One such establishment is The Art of Shaving, a male version of a spa. These shops offer a whole range of products for the consumer to take home, as well an area where the magic happens—the luxury of an old-fashioned straight-edged shave (and a haircut, if you so desire).

A host of products, such as shaving creams and soaps, aftershave masks and balms, shaving brushes, as well as razors of all kinds adorn the shop. They also offer a line of skin care as well as hair care products. This is the kind of place you really, truly invest in yourself … or in the special man in your life.

If you really want to pamper him, schedule an appointment for a shave. Barbers work in the shops on a daily basis and are regularly booked, so you do have to think several days ahead. A traditional shave, lasts about 25 minutes and includes a three-part shave, face and neck massage and hot scented towels. For 45 minutes, you get the royal treatment that includes a clay mask. These barbers also trim up the hair on top of your head as well, if so desired.

The Art of Shaving has three locations in Las Vegas: The Canal Shoppes, Fashion Show Mall and The Shoppes at Mandalay Place.
