Things to do at Stratosphere Las Vegas

But aside from those, the resort also offers pools and a spa for the guests to relax and rejuvenate. The observation decks and the tower shops add some more excitement to the days spent at the resort.

Thrills

The Stratosphere Tower is the tallest observation tower in the U.S. And that’s a perfect excuse for being home to three heart-pounding thrills. If you are an adrenaline junkie or just want to experience something different, then you surely have to try the thrills.

Please remember that you need to pay both the Tower admission and the rides tickets. Tower admission is $20 (adult) and $12 (child). The ride tickets are: Big Shot $15.00, xScream $15.00 and Insanity $15.00. Various packages are available.

SkyJump Las Vegas is the newest addition to the thrills at the Stratosphere and is a controlled plummet more than 800 feet. The speed is high and the views are breathtaking. That starts at $119.

Insanity – the Ride

The ride is actually a massive mechanical arm which extends out 64 feet over the edge of the Stratosphere Tower at a height of over 900 feet. Your body spins and you are turn upside down. If you are brave enough, keep your eyes open for the best views of the city.

X-Scream

Ever want to ride something a resembling a massive teeter-totter 866 feet above the ground? Now you can! It propels you 27 feet over the edge of the Stratosphere Tower, dangle above the city just before you are pulled back in.

Big Shot

Do you wonder how it feels to be shot 160 feet in the air at 45 miles per hour? Then try the Big Shot! Experience the G forces as you go up and down, reaching 1,081 feet.

Observation Decks

The tower features two observation decks: an outdoor one at the 869-foot level and an indoor one at the 857-foot level. The indoor deck is the loading area for the Big Shot and the outdoor deck is home to the other two rides. If you want to snap photos of the riders, the outdoor deck is the beck choice.

The decks are open from Sunday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. and on Fridays, Saturdays and holidays from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. In cases of extreme weather conditions, schedule is subject to change.

Tower Shops

They feature nearly 50 shops and 15 retail carts in an international marketplace which remind guests of Paris and New York.

The Pools

las_vegas_accommodations_on_the_strip1The Stratosphere Las Vegas offers two swimming pool areas. At level 8 you’ll find the expansive resort swimming pool and recreation deck. And you can also enjoy the adult-only Beach Club 25.

The café bar which caters for the pool guests offers gourmet salads, sandwiches and specialty cocktails. Guests can also rent cabanas or opt for a chair on the deck.

Those who prefer the adult-only pool can choose the club located at the 25th floor. Admission is $10 (for men, ladies get complimentary admission) and the guest can enjoy a game of table tennis or water volleyball.

Roni Josef Salon Spa

If you need to relax and rejuvenate, the spa is the perfect place to do so. It features personalized skin care treatments, therapeutic spa services and body work. Special packages are available.. Haircuts, as well as hand, foot and nail care services are also available. The spa is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
