Las Vegas Mariachi Festival

For the 14th year in a row, Las Vegas is celebrating the tradition and history of mariachis. You might recognize mariachis as the musicians strolling through Mexican restaurants dressed in charro suits and sombreros. But mariachi music has a deep cultural history dating back hundreds of years. Their songs speak about love, death, machismo, politics, and revolutionary heroes. Every September is the time to celebrate mariachi music, mostly in Jalisco where it was born. Here in Vegas, we’re fortunate to have three of the top mariachis in the world, Cristian Castro, Aida Cuevas and Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan.
