Maxxis U.S. Open: Motorcycle Madness!

The world’s top motocross racers are coming to Vegas for their 8th annual U.S. Open. No, this ain’t tennis, folks. Three hundred truckloads of dirt are going to be brought into the MGM Grand Garden Arena for this kick ass of a good time. Former THQ AMA Supercross Series champion Chad Reed will be defending his 2003 and 2004 title. Stiff competition will be Ricky Carmichael, the four-time supercross champion and two-time U.S. Open champion. But both are going to feel the heat from the other racers because all the contestants have their eye on the $300,000 prize. If you miss it in Vegas, stay tuned for the LIVE audio webcast. The U.S. Open will also air on NBC October 23 at 3:30 p.m. EST following the NASCAR race from Martinsville.

When: October 7 – 9, 2005
Where: MGM Grand Garden Arena
Times: Oct. 7 – 8, Gates open at 7:00 p.m. and the race begins at 8:00 p.m.; Oct. 9 Gates open at 11 a.m. with racing throughout the day.
Cost: $20 – $100 for adults; $10 – $100 for children ages 3 to 12
