Halloween in Las Vegas

Whether you’re looking for spooky family adventures, or you want to put the “sin” in Sin City, Las Vegas has something for everyone this Halloween. Here’s a rundown of events to help you get into the spirit this final week leading up to October 31st.

For Families:

  • The District at Green Valley Ranch is holding their Ghostwalk on October 31st from 5pm until 8pm. Bring the kids and trick-or-treat at The District for free. During this same time, their “Outdoor Picture Show” will be airing free screenings of the movie “Casper” at 5pm and 6:45pm.
  • If your kids are actually four-legged furry ones, The District at Green Valley Ranch is the place to be Saturday, October 27th from 4pm until 7pm for the Doggie Howl & Wine. Dogs must be kept on leashes, but admission is free. Prizes will be given to the best doggie costumes and all participants will receive a free “howloween” bag with lots of dog treats.
  • Family Ranch Pumpkin Patch at McKee Ranch (8982 S. Dean Martin Dr) offers a petting farm, buckets of carrots to feed the animals and one pumpkin for a $20 admission price per family Tuesdays through Thursdays from 4pm until 8pm.
  • Inspirada Fall Festival will be held at Solista Par at Inspirada (1890 Via Firenze Henderson) on October 27th. Admission is free to the festival, which includes trick-or-treating ant the community’s model homes, hayrides, a pumpkin patch and more. There will also be a Howl at the Moon Dog Walk, where guests can take their furkids on a walk around the community. Cost to participate is $15 in advance/$20 day of, with proceeds going to benefit the HPD K-9s. For more information, call 866.758.5483.
  • 6th Annual “Ghosts and Goblins of Nevada’s Past” takes place the weekend of October 27th and 28th at the Clark County Museum (1830 S. Boulder Hwy) from 4:30pm until 7:30pm both days. Admission is $2 and includes trick-or-treating for the youngsters, costume contests and more. Call 702.455.7955 for more information.

Concerts:

  • Shock-rocker Marilyn Manson preaches his metal gospel at the Palms at the Hard Rock on October 31st. The show starts at 8pm and tickets are priced at $58, $68, $73 and $78.

Haunted Houses:

  • The Asylum reproduces an abandoned mental hospital and what’s waiting for you on the inside is quite gruesome. Named one of the top haunted houses by Hauntworld.com. Tickets are $11 and operating hours are 6:30pm until 10pm on October 24, 28, 29 and 30, and until midnight October 25, 26, 27 and 31. You’ll find this asylum in the Home Depot parking lot at 1275 W. Craig Rd (near Camino del Norte).
  • Fright Dome has taken over Circus Circus’ Adventuredome with haunted houses and demons dropping from the ceiling. Tickets are $32.95 for a single-night ticket, or $44.95 for a single-night express pass (which means no waiting in long lines).   • Hotel Fear takes you on a journey through a haunted hotel, and let’s just say not all the guests are happy about being there. Tickets are $11 and operating hours are 6:30pm until 10pm on October 24, 28, 29 and 30, and until midnight October 25, 26, 27 and 31. You’ll find this haunted hotel at the corner of Durango Drive and Desert Inn Road (across from the Desert Breeze Soccer Park).

For Adults Only:

Saturday, October 27th:

  • The Las Vegas Weekly presents the Night of the Killer Costumes at Rain nightclub at the Palms. Admission is $30 and there are $10,000 in prizes up for grabs for those with the best costumes.
  • The newly opened Poetry (formerly O-PM) at The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace gets in the Halloween spirit with Forbidden feat. Christine Dolce. Cover is $20 for women and $30 for men.
  • Over at Alexis Park hotel is the 12th annual Fetish and Fantasy Halloween Ball, one of the most outrageous, anything goes parties to happen in Vegas. This event will include erotic stage performances, fire performers, DJs, a costume contest, stilt walkers and more. The event is actually spread out across the entire resort and is sure to last until well after dawn. Tickets are $75 and available via Ticketmaster and you must be in costume or festish/fantasy attire. If you are not, you will be charged an additional $40 “party pooper fine” at the door.
  • The Carnaval Court at Harrah’s is where you’ll find the Redrum Halloween party. $5,000 total cash prizes awarded tonight for Most Creative and Sexiest (Ladies Only!) Costumes. Admission is free and there will be Bacardi and Miller Lite drink specials.

Sunday, October 28th:

  • Dennis Haskin (“Saved By the Bell”) hosts a Halloween bash at the Hard Rock’s Body English on October 28th, assisted by porn stars from Vivid Entertainment. There are $10,000 in cash and prizes for the sexiest costumes and all ladies wearing nothing but lingerie drink free champagne all night. Cover is $30.

Tuesday, October 30th:

  • Magician Criss Angel hosts Pure nightclub’s official Halloween Bash. He’ll also be awarding $20,000 in prizes for those with the scariest or sexiest costume. $20 gets you in.
  • Mix Master Mike of the Beastie Boys spins for the Sabotage costume party at the Palms’ Moon nightclub. Wear any Beastie-themed costume and get free admission. Otherwise, it’ll be $20 to get in.

Wednesday, October 31st

  • Sisters Paris and Nicki Hilton, will host the Halloween bash at LAX. They’ll also give away $20,000 for the sexiest costumes. Admission is $30.
  • The Beaux Arts Ball takes over Studio 54 at the MGM Grand. Hosted by Chippendale Bryan Cheatham and Fantasy’s singer/MC Stephanie Jordan, the event will also feature appearances by cast members from Jubilee, Phantom, Folies Bergere, the Sirens of TI and more. Admission is $30
  • The Hard Rock’s Body English brings in God’s Kitchen and DJ Roger Sanchez to provide the tunes, with a $15,000 prize for best costume. Cover is $30.
  • Poetry (formerly O-PM) at The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace holds a Poisoned Hearts Ball, hosted by Jes, winner of “Rock of Love” season 1 on VH-1. Cover is $20 for women and $30 for men.
  • The official Marilyn Manson after-show party takes place at The Palm’s Playboy Club and the rocker is expected to attend. Cover is $20, which is actually cheaper than his concert tickets are.
  • The Carnaval Court at Harrah’s is where you’ll find the Redrum Halloween party. $5,000 total cash prizes awarded tonight for Most Creative and Sexiest (Ladies Only!) Costumes. Admission is free and there will be Bacardi and Miller Lite drink specials.
  • Voodoo Lounge at the Rio holds their Mingle & Mayhem party starting at 9pm. $3,000 will be awarded to the sexiest and best costume. Cover is $20.
