Vegas Halloween 2009 Events Calendar

October 1-November 1 – Hotel Fear and the Asylum
These two haunted houses consistantly get ranked among the best in the country and this year they are both located at the Texas Station Hotel & Casino. Exact dates are Thursdays through Sundays, starting Oct 1, and then every evening from October 27-November 1. Hours of operation vary and are available on the Texas Screams website. Admission is $12/person for one attraction or $18 for a combined ticket for both.

zombieOctober 2-31 – Fright Dome at Circus Circus
This annual event is back for another year and this time, it has partnered with Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures for two new haunted houses featuring themed elements from the Saw movies. Hours are 7pm until midnight, and the exact dates can be found at the Fright Dome website. Tickets are $34.95/adult, with the option of adding on a “Fast Pass” for the five haunted houses for an additional $15/person.

October 2-31 – Freakling Bros Presents Mortuary
This will be the final year for the Mortuary Haunted House, which is set up at the Sunset Station Casino. Tickets are $11/person or $24/person for a pass good for this and the Freakling Bros two other haunted attractions at the UA Theater Plaza (see below). They may be purchased at the door. October 2-31 – Freakling Bros Presents Castle Vampyre and Circus of Horrors
These two haunted attractions run select dates during the month at the UA Theater Plaza (2321 N. Rainbow Rd). Tickets are $11 for one, $18 for both or $24 for a pass that includes admission to both attractions plus The Mortuary haunted house at the Sunset Station. Purchase all tickets at the door.

October 8-31 — Zombie Precinct at New York-New York
Oh no! Zombies have taken over the New York-New York city jail and its up to you and your friends to solve the mystery of how they got that way…if you can make it through alive! The Brooklyn Bridge plays host to this haunted house each night starting at 6pm. Tickets are $20/person and can be purchased at the Zumanity box office. Hotels guests can receive 2-4-1 tickets.

October 13-31 – Madame Tussauds After Dark
This normally tame attraction brings out the scary side of wax figures when it opens nightly on select dates for a special horror treat at The Venetian. The lights go out at Madame Tussauds starting at 10pm Tuesdays through Saturdays during this two week period and this event is priced at $20/person.

October 30-November 1 – Fangoria Trinity of Terrors
How does a weekend of horror movies and its stars sound? That’s exactly what you’ll get if you attend this convention sponsored by Fangoria Magazine. Slated to attend are George A. Romero, Fairuza Balk, John Waters, Jeffrey Combs, Roger Corman, Malcolm McDowell, make-up effects legend Tom Savini and more. There are also movie screenings, parties and a special concert by Slipknot. If you are an afficiando of horror, this is a great chance to meet those that are involved in making these films. The Silver Bullet VIP pass that includes everything is $275/person. A regular 3-day Weekend Pass is $50/person and Daily Passes are $20/person. The general passes do not include the VIP party, the concert or any autographs/photographs with the guests (these range from $20-$40 additional to your admission pass). October 30-November 1 – Trick or Tweet at Caesars Palace
In what I think will be the 1st of its kind event, Caesars Palace will use social media networks like Twitter to conduct a party scavenger hunt. All weekend long, the resort will Tweet locations throughout the property for you to experience. Once you find your destination, the treats await…free food and free drinks, including drink specials from Bacardi USA, plus special drawings and giveaways. There’s even a weekend package deal for those that don’t want to miss a moment.

October 31 – Fetish & Fantasy Halloween Ball 2009
This annual event will take place at the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and is ranked as one of the ‘Five Events to Attend Before You Die” by Maxim Magazine. Expect plenty of sexy costumes at this event which runs from 10pm to 4am. Tickets are $82.50/person and are available via the Hard Rock box office or via Ticketmaster (use promo code VROCKS for a $5 discount). Visit the Halloween Ball website for further information.
