Craps Lingo: “Pass Line Bet”

In a craps game, the “pass line bet” is the basic bet at the craps table. Players must make a pass line (or a don’t pass bet) in order to be allowed to shoot the dice. A pass line bet is an immediate winner if a 7 or 11 is rolled on the first toss of the dice. It is also an immediate loser if a 2, 3 or 12 is rolled (this is called “crapping out”). If any other number (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10) comes up on the initial roll, a point is established and that number must be repeated before a 7 is rolled again.
