DJT – Trump Las Vegas

When it comes to dining at Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, the choice is simple. DJT, the fine dining establishment located directly off the lobby, is the only restaurant in the hotel. Because Trump is not a destination hotel like most others on the Strip, DJT doesn’t get the foot traffic that other Las Vegas restaurants do. Rather, you’ll find hotel guests and those that seek out DJT eating here. Once you eat there yourself, you’ll understand why people go out of their way to reach it.

The DJT dining room has a classy, fine dining ambiance that is both luxurious and welcoming. Outfitted with a dark interior and crystal furnishings, the dining room has several tables throughout the main floor as well as private, curtained tables and a private dining room that can hold up to ten people.

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, DJT is accommodating to all palates with meat and vegetarian options and entrees. Though a menu is available throughout the day, I am only personally familiar with the dinner selections. In addition to approximately a dozen entree options, there is a three-course prix fixe menu as well. For $29.99, guests are invited to select an appetizer and entree, and then served the chef’s choice for dessert. Considering the quality of the food and ambiance, this is a steal compared to some other restaurants on the Strip.

Appetizer options include selections such as a crab and lobster cake floating above potato leek soup and caprese salad with heirloom tomatoes and fresh buffalo mozzarella. Entrees are large, meticulously prepared and include options such as tender braised beef short rib, pan seared scallops over lobster chowder and sirloin steak. Though the meal is filling and delicious, the only downside to ordering from the prix fixe menu is the lack of vegetarian options for an entree. As if the appetizer and entree weren’t enough, the chef’s dessert is simply mouth-watering, so don’t plan on pushing away from the table quite yet.

DJT’s staff is exceptionally polite and knowledgeable about all of the food options and can eloquently speak on the options available to patrons. If you’d something to drink with your meal, wait staff is also able to suggest a wine or cocktail that would best complement the dishes.

Quite frankly, when it comes to creating a memorable dining experience, no detail is overlooked at DJT. The atmosphere, food quality and care taken to ensure your time in the restaurant is a positive one all make DJT a dining destination not to be overlooked on your next trip to Las Vegas.
