Save Money on Taxis in Las Vegas

I’ve made weekend trips into Las Vegas where I’ve spent more than $100 in cab fare. It costs $10 one way from Caesars to Rio, and $15 from the MGM Grand to downtown Las Vegas. When you want to see everything, and you don’t have time or the inclination to walk, you better be prepared to open your wallet.

Or is that the case?

It may make more sense to rent a car and take advantage of free self parking at all of the casinos. Still need to be spoiled? Indulge in valet. Tipping $2.00-$5.00 is customary but reasonable in comparison to the alternative.

However, if, after a late night, you aren’t fit to drive, then it’s always worth the money to splurge on a cab to ensure you arrive safely back to your hotel.
